We strive to offer our customers not only quality and durable furniture that will serve them for generations, but also with respect for nature. We offer a range of vegan alternatives to leather and in particular Ananas Anam upholstery materials, made from the fibres of pineapple leaves left over after the harvest.

Fabrics
Our company proudly offers the selection of 14 suppliers with a total of 450-500 types/lines of fabrics from the Czech Republic, Germany and Great Britain, such as Romo, Compo Fabrics or Hoepke Textiles. Each fabric range has around 15-20 colour shades and combinations, giving us the ability to offer over 10,000 cover variations.
Some of our fabrics are treated with an impregnation to make cleaning easier, or we offer special finishes for pet owners so that, for example, cat claws do not leave permanent marks.
Leathers
We can offer a wide range of leathers as well, mainly from our two main suppliers. The premium leathers from Sorensen (Denmark) are mainly from European farms. Leathers from Mr. Pavlat (CZ), who represents New Pel in Italy, are sourced primarily from South America, Australia, New Zealand and Europe. Their collections include more than 400 colors and 20 different styles, including natural finish, brushed, coated, aniline, anti-wear and flame retardant, pigmented and perforated leathers, as well as zebra, giraffe or leopard-patterned leathers.
All leathers are allergy certified with ECARF and IVN certificates and meet fire retardant tests such as EN 1021-1,2:2006, British standard BS 5852-0,1 and CAL 117.
Fillings
We use highly comfortable cold foam sandwich combinations with a spring base for most of the seat fillings in our furniture. For increased durability, we interleave them with technical fabrics.We also offer a luxury option combined with goose feathers.
We also offer the option of using a traditional upholstery method using African grasses. The coarser fibres are used as a shaping material, the finer ones as a plumping material. It is particularly suitable for reupholstering old sofas and vintage armchairs.
Sustainable materials
We use upholstery materials from Ananas Anam, a pioneer in innovative natural textiles made from pineapple leaf waste. Their products are made from pineapple leaf fibre left over after the harvest. Thus, there is no need to grow new plants just for the sake of production, and agricultural waste from existing plants is converted into natural textiles, in addition to avoiding CO2 emissions from incineration.
This activity also creates new jobs in rural areas and provides farmers with a second and diversified source of income. Ananas Anam thus offers a wide range of natural textiles that can replace traditional materials, contributing to sustainability and reducing the burden on the environment.

All our upholstered furniture is produced by a team of experienced craftsmen in the Czech Republic, our factory is in Hrušová near Vysoké Mýto. Handmade production has a tradition in our company since 1994 under the name SofaDesign. Since November 2021 we have been operating under a new owner as HasSofa.
